I laughed so hard when I first found this that it had to be the first thing I made off the site. It's the first piece I hung in the hallway of the new house. The only thing I don't like is the way I cut the matting... you can tell I did it poorly. With a scalpel as a matter of fact, and I have the scar on my leg to prove it.
Those are the three that are done for now. I've got almost every PDF pattern that everyone has posted in a file folder so that I have a constant supply of game related stuff to stitch. Taking a break from it for now to finish an old kit that I found lying about, but I'll get back to the game ones soon.
I wanted to do something fun for my boyfriend and his favorite game at the time was Gears of War. I absolutely hate how it came out; too brown and orange so I wanted to remake it in all one color, but he loves it, so that's all that matters. I made the pattern on an iMac only program and I'm still learning how to use it, so unfortunately I can't share the pattern.
Last but not least, a few of my boyfriend's gaming friends had a baby so I made a copy of the Paper Mario announcement someone had posted. I didn't know any of the information for the baby and I only had about three days to get it done, but I found a perfect frame.

Looks awesome, great job.
You can never have enough Mario!
And I think you shouldn't worry about the matting of the first one. Personally, I think it looks far more unique this way.

Very nice pieces, makes me think of a little comic strip, like there is supposed to be some unspoken dialogue here.StitchWitch wrote:I laughed so hard when I first found this that it had to be the first thing I made off the site. Spoiler
I attempted to cut my own matting once, even with a ruler to guide me my cuts still came out slanted and swervey, I should've known better, I can't even hang a picture on the wall straight unless I have a level. Can't even write a sentence on paper within lines otherwise I'll gradually start slanting the words up or downwards on the paper. But I don't have a war, err craft wound for my failed effort.
