I've seen some of the marbled cross stitch fabric at my craft store lately. I've never been able to figure out a use for 'em but what a clever way to use it! It looks lovely.

Thank you for the kind words. I cross stitch a lot. The fabrics are called "hand dyed cross stitch fabrics". They are indeed very nice for adding backgrounds to designs. I don't stitch with plain fabbies anymore. :D

At first glance, I thought you had stitched the white/blue clouds! I do love that fabric!

I was hoping to stitch this on marbled fabric, but had trouble finding it in Canada (or a site that would ship to Canada). After seeing your results I might have to look a bit harder. ;)

Thank you everyone, i appreciate all the lovely comments..

Tbsp-- here are some sites you can purchase hand dyed cross stitch fabrics from, and i think they ship internationally too, I do regular cross stitching and most of us are not limited to living in the US. I am only going to list the ones i have personally ordered from. With the exception of polstitches, but i know alot of people who use/buy from them and have received them in an orderly & timely manner-- the owner also frequents the xs board i am a part of.

The fabric i used here is from silkweaver (http://www.silkweaver.com). They had since then had a transition and people had been having problems with getting their orders etc, so i am not going to recommend it, unless you really want to give them a try. I haven't ordered from them since their transition, so i can't really say i have a bad/good relationship with the new company handling their fabrics. There also used to be a sugar maple fabrics based in Canada, with beautiful fabrics, and i mean really beautiful hand-dyeing/air brush techniques, but sadly they closed down 2-3 years ago. Hope this helps!
