Hey all, been a while since I actually posted some of my work here (other than challenge stuff anyways!) so thought I'd get a thread going :)

All comments welcome! ^^

Ivysaur, for my daughter Ivy - she loves it and says "rawr" at it every day.

A coaster I made for my desk, where I spend a lot of time and drink a lot of tea. The pattern for this was posted here on the forums, by supreme_mongoose :) It's Phanquid, from Final Fantasy Mystic Quest (aka Final Fantasy USA). I just love its ugly face lol.

I made this a while back for Ivy, to brighten up the wall above her cot. The sprite is from Super Princess Peach on DS - I thought it looked kinda cute.

I posted this last year when I joined this forum but I thought I'd add it here since I got round to framing it. It now belongs to my sister, who loves Pikachu :pika

I've got a few things on the go so I'll update soon ^^

Looks great. Is the Pikachu from Little Mojo's pattern? I'm thinking of making something like that for my niece and nephew and think that one would be perfect.

You know, I've been thinking about getting some of those ornament holders to make mini-gifts for my siblings/friends this Christmas. I know they come without backing so I'm curious to know how you set it. Pictures on the internet don't do much to help me figure out what I'd do >.< Any suggestions?

Yes, it's from Littlemojo's patterns, a lot of fun to do - I would recommend it! :)

I'm guessing you mean the flexi-hoop in the Ivysaur pic? They're real easy to use, you just place the inner ring under your stitching and jam the rubber ring on top and push them together. It stretches the fabric (but not too much) and holds it in place really well. As for the back, well... you can do one of two things. You can trim the fabric down so that there's just a little bit sticking out from the hoop, or you can leave a sort of hem and use stitches to draw it together. Here's an example of both:

Both are pretty secure, since the hoop has a good grip. Hope that helps!
