I took the Japanese Metroid title screen and layed in some sprites from the game. The lighter floss is glow-in-the-dark! I've also developed patterns for Street Fighter, Castelvania, Earthbound, Contra, TMNT, UN Squadron, and am working on Zelda ones.

This turned out nicely! I look forward to seeing your Earthbound one (it was one of my favourite games when I was growing up)

Nicely done!! Love the angle and the fill pictures are a great touch.

The Earthbound one I'm not really happy with. It's in English, and there's so little room inside the letters that some of the characters are just...I don't know. It's not great. Here's what it looks like:

I am pretty in love with the Earthbound pattern but I admit that I am unreasonably biased towards stuff involving sprites from the game. I am sure that your final product will be fantastic! (or if you keep this as your final, then it is pretty fantastic already)

Oh man, I love that Metroid title!

I wonder if part of the reason you're having difficulty with the Earthbound is that its straight on? With the Metroid title it was that 3d perspective which made all of the characters much broader. I'm not sure you could do it with the Earthbound title, but if you could it might help make the areas big enough to get more of the characters in, maybe?

Wow your project looks awesome!! I am curious to see how it looks with the lights off! :nod
Where do you find the glow-in-the-dark thread online? I've never found it...I would like to have it for some cool decorations.

I'm working on patterns for other games. I have UN Squadron and Castlevania in Japanese characters, Street Fighter II and TMNT in English, and Contra in both Japanese and Cyrillic pretty much done. I'm still in the works on River City Ransom, Legend of Zelda, Legend of Zelda: A Link to the Past, and Ghosts and Goblins in Japanese; and the X-Men arcade game.

If you can think of other good titles with great-looking title screens or interesting Japanese characters, I'd love to check them out.
