Wind Waker Stained Glass Cross Stitch Finished!

Postby ShelfLife_Ashley on Fri Oct 23, 2009 5:25 am

One year, 2 months and 15 days in the making:

I started the project as a distraction/consolation when my long-term boyfriend moved. Now, over a year later, we just got married and will proudly display it in our home! Finished size is 16 x 14 inches.

Normally I don't put so much flash into my project signatures, but with something this big, a little pizzazz was definitely called for.
Apparently my images are attack vectors, hence the gray box.

That is gorgeous! I'm slowly working up to doing big projects though I won't be able to start anything until I'm done with all the Christmas presents. I really like the detail. Great job!

oh nice, a stained glass zelda stitch of epic proportions. imagine if the sage's stained glass windows in the lower level of the temple of time were to be done.

Believe me, I thought about it, but considered how long (and how much $$ I spent in threads!!) this one took, I'm a little leery. I also thought about stitching this other famous, gorgeous image but I can't even begin to think about how huge that would be.

I would like to try to find/make a pattern for 4 Zelda Logos (Ocarina of Time, Majora's Mask, Wind Waker and Twilight Princess) about the same size as this piece so that it would make a nice balance on my wall, but not much luck so far.

Very stunning! Congrats! Were you aiming for a shaded appearance with the strands being stitched different ways on the face?

Excellent work, i love it.
Would you mind showing what it looks from behind ? I sometime feel my work is a complete mess (from behind) and i'd like to see how people work their pattern's back :)
Thanks !
