Hi everyone!
I'm new to the board, though I have been looking through the projects for quite awhile. I thought I would share with you guys a project I just finished for my boyfriend, a Left 5 Dead pencil box! I made it with plastic canvas and yarn.

Welcome!!! :peach

I'm new here too :pac And this is soooo cute, I love it! I know my husband would love this too, since he really likes Left 4 Dead. I'm trying to figure out something to make for him with Half Life, this, or Team Fortress in it, so this is an inspiration :D You did a really great job :clapping:

On a side note, I have been thinking of trying some "3D" projects with plastic canvas, and I was wondering where you got it at? I assume they have it at craft stores, but whenever I have went to get my x-stitching supplies, I have never seen any (I'm probably looking in the wrong place :pac ).

Joining the n00b parade... I love the L4D stuff. This is really cool because it captures the feeling of the game, while still being simplistic. It's quality without trying too hard. The gray was a good choice. I also really like how well the title came out.

Thank you all for your comments!! :]

Bamiyan, I got the canvas at Walmart -- it's really cheap too! (I think it was $2 for 6 sheets). and lol, your husband and my boyfriend seem to have similar tastes; I can never get him to stop playing Team Fortress 2. He did hook me on Left 4 Dead though :D

Wow, that's awesome! I'm going to have to take a look, and that's really cool that it's that cheap :nod

And yes! I know what you mean :D All he does is play computer games when he has free time lol. And I wish I could play those kind of games with him, but I get nasty headaches when looking at first person games  Pretty lame!

I showed him your project yesterday, and he said it's really cool! He likes to draw as well, so I told him I would try to think of a design for something like this too, so he can store his art supplies. Again, great idea :clapping:

That is AWESOME. Could you please post the pattern? I definitely want to make one.

Could you also let us know what your final measurements were? There are two types of plastic canvas and I want to make sure I pick up the right size count.

First of all, nicely done.

Second, what type of yarn do you use to make plastic canvas projects like these?
I've been wanting to make disc holders out of this stuff since the yarn probably wouldn't scratch the discs.
Thanks, and nice project.
