Re: Epic Pokemon pattern WIP!!
stupid question.. I've never done a project this huge, and I've been working on page 1 for a while. Do you do the large blocks of color first and fill in the smaller groups of colors. This is what I've been doing but I'm running across the problem where I have a hard time filling in the small spots. Any suggestions? I may have to rip out what I've completed so far and start over .. ;_;

I tend to focus on larger groups of color and then do smaller later but I also run into that problem. I'm trying to switch it up a little to see if it helps make it easier at all

I just do a little of all options... sometimes I work large blocks, and sometimes I do black outlines first.
But my WIP-photo for now:

Here's an update for me! Slowly making more and more progress every day. The only upside to not having a job is having time to stitch!

And as usual, I have a little more done than pictured since I'm lazy about uploading pictures.

Re: Epic Pokemon pattern WIP!!
Wow, thanks for all those updates! It's really cool to be able to get an idea what the project will look like at different stages. They all look awesome!
Here's my progress as of a couple of days ago. I've got Rhyhorn mostly done now and most of Weezing, but other than that it's still about the same.
Also, I'm experimenting with using a different color as the background. I wanted it to be a pinky purple, as pastel as possible, so right now I'm using 3609. , although I'm not really sure how I like how it meshes with the other colors used for the pokemon (I think it's a bit to bright). My husband suggested that I only make one stitch instead of crossing back over like normal cross stitch so that the result would be a mixture of the pink and the white background, muting the forcefulness of the pink. So I'll let you know how that goes.

Re: Epic Pokemon pattern WIP!!
Here's my first posted update...my phones battery was dying so the flash didn't go off, leaving it a bit dark. I'm hoping to get further on Dragonite tonight. Once I'm done with this row though, I'm going to start going left-right instead of right-left. It's hard working with the numbers backwards matching up the pattern > < (I have to look at the pattern on the computer, scrolling through pages on adobe...yuck)

Been a while since my last update. It's been slow progress but two pages are finished now.
