I didn't realize you were doing the mini version of eveelutions. It's still huge, but at least it's only around 80k stitches and feels like something you could finish in about a year (if you were really focusing on it) rather than 5-10 years.

It really is nice! Now if I could just focus on it more...instead of bouncing between so many projects Including this 1...4 HAEDs and Eleventh Doctor stained glass...with a new start come New Year's Day!...and that's going to be tied to a HAED challenge...53k stitches and I'm shooting for a finish in 1 year. The project has 20 more stitches than the challenge, which runs the entire year. We'll see if it happens

So...I did a thing! I have started Epic Pokemon Generation 1!

Right now I'm planning on stitching one Pokemon at a time (if that doesn't work out, I will just go by rows)...but I need to do some background stitches first!

Good luck Firehawke! Can't wait to see your progress on the epic gen 1. I love doing it pokemon by pokemon. Feels like a bunch of mini projects stitched together.

I agree...the whole idea of them being mini projects is one of the reasons why I'm stitching it this way! I love my projects, but they are all SO big and I've been needing something smaller...I don't have anything smaller

Omg that looks so awesome! It looks like you're going from the bottom up. I'm not sure I'd be able to do that. Haha. I'm planning on going from the top down.

Oh! fun fun fun. I'm always very tempted by the Gen 1 (because I watched the show, but didn't do the games) version. I already decided that I would do the round version if I ever do it though.

Bulbasaur looks great! I started with zapdos (upper left). It will be so fun watching it grow from the bottom up in comparison. I'll try to update my pictures more. Have fun!

I normally do my patterns from the top left and work my way down, so this is certainly a bit of a challenge!

And that round Pokemon pattern may have to be stitched here at some point

We have our very first Pokemon...Bulbasaur!

Ivysaur has not been started yet (been doing a little HAED stitching and crocheting)...maybe some evening this week!
