Those look absolutely awesome. I've actually started on this too, but i'm getting crosseyed the crosses are so tiny!
Also took a break already, to work on a babything, when thats done i'll come back to this. Since that kinda has a due date :p
Might decide to get a magnifying glass though..

What size fabric are you using?Krysta wrote:Those look absolutely awesome. I've actually started on this too, but i'm getting crosseyed the crosses are so tiny!

I'm doing 25 ct over one, so I know what you mean.

Not sure, i'd have to check. But i think i wanted to do 25 over one, but ordered something smaller in the end. I hope it still comes out alright.
I'll try checking now..... By my crappy calculations, theres 13 stitches on one cm. Normally, i have 5,5 on one for 14ct, or 7 for 18ct i think. Which makes me think this is somewhere along 36ct (as its almost double)... And that just seems hella tiny.
Either way, i stitched one block and it looks fine. Just a bit tiny. Ah well, new experience.

Wowee! 36 over one seems super tiny! I would do a nice sized test patch before you start it, just so you don't find out, half way through, that you can't see anymore. Another thing to check would be that your fabric doesn't distort, after it's stitched on.Krysta wrote:Not sure, i'd have to check. I started a Golden Kite on too small of a thread count. Thankfully, I realized that pretty soon after I started that I was going to go cross eyed.

That looks great! You've got way more spunk than I do. That thing's going to be enormous.

So do I !
Seeing them on the bobbins next to each other I wasn't sure how they would look one the finished product.

It looks fabulous.
Although you can end up a bit cross eyed the advantage with high thread counts is that you can squeeze much bigger designs onto the fabric. I have been experimenting with one over one on 28 count linen although I have been doing it in petite point rather than cross stitch.
