Re: BigDaddyWiz's Projects (Update Sonic 2)
Got into a bunch of video games around the holidays and my cross stitching just stopped. Then my computer completely died and I lost a bunch of the patterns I had mapped out (really gotta do a better job of backing stuff up). That really killed my stitching buzz. Then with the Olympics coming along I knew I'd want something kinda mindless (nothing to complicated with tons of color changes) to stitch while I watched. I Got the idea of doing a Ninja Gaiden pattern, remembered the cut scene from the beginning, and made the following.
Its the first "cut scene" I remember seeing and thinking "That was cool!" Unfortunately, I got really into stitching and watching the Olympics and finished it a bit early. Now I gotta come up with another stitch.- starrley

Re: BigDaddyWiz's Projects (Ninja Gaiden)
Thanks Starrley! Working on finishing a fairly ambitious Super Metroid project (aboot 60 different colors) and completing my pattern for The Legendary Starfy charity square! I hope to have the Metroid project done in the next day or two.

Is it for the child play's charity quilt or did you stitch it for yourself ?

Re: BigDaddyWiz's Projects (Ninja Gaiden)
Thanks! Its not for the quilt. I do have a pattern mostly complete for that though. This is the project I was having grey troubles with as there are 14 different shades. I feel its turning out well though. Some of the colors my pattern maker picked all blended together and were completly indistinguishable from the next. Anywho, I mixed up some greys, moved some greys around, and adjusted the brightness were I thought I could get away with it. I also got a kick outa the way it looked missing its main protagonist. Kinda a "guess whats missing" type deal. I hope to have this done in the next couple days then focus on the Charity Square I have planned.La Ptite Bete wrote:Very nice one BigDaddy !!

Re: BigDaddyWiz's Projects (Ninja Gaiden)
Ok, seriously? You must now be my new BFF. You start off with one of my favorite parts of LttP, you create the adorbs Mr. Drippy, you throw in my fave cut scene from Ninja Gaiden, and now you are breaking out the Samus vs Mother Brain? Get outta my head! j/k
Next thing you know, you will be throwing down some Chrono and Mana.
They are all just lovely. May we please, please, please have the pattern for the latest?

Re: BigDaddyWiz's Projects (Ninja Gaiden)
Thanks BooChocoBoom!! Really appreciate it! Haha, Weird, I actually do have a project for Chrono Trigger planned from a scene at the Millennial Fair. Ive been messing with the pattern for about 6 months off and on and I just cant seem to get it how I want it....But I feel Im getting close. I actually created the Metroid and Ninja Gaiden patterns after getting angry with the Chrono Trigger. As for the patterns, well usually I back stuff up onto my external hard drive but I was living dangerously and never did with either of those. Of course my computer crashed about a third of the way through the Metroid project and with about half of the Ninja Gaiden project left (also lost a Golden Axe pattern but hadnt started it yet). Luckily, for the Ninja Gaiden project, I had the Black and outline for the moon already done which left it basically down to the coloring in phase and wasnt to difficult to do without the pattern. The Metroid is a whole other beast, everything I had for that project was gone. Luckily I remembered I had sent a "first Draft" of the pattern to a buddy who still had it on his computer. The pattern is just a mess, I never got a chance to edit the colors or change the symbols to make it easier on the eyes when stitching. I basically forced myself to continue on with that pattern and a picture I redownloaded from the internet. Ive been writing down color changes for it as I go. In conclusion, I tried to find the picture I used for the Ninja Gaiden Pattern and could not. But I found something close enough and remade the pattern with the colors I used. I'll throw that up in the patterns section. Ill also try to work on getting a pattern up for the Metroid project when its finished. I still gotta pick out colors for that one and the current pattern Im using for it is just a headache inducing mess and I cant edit it.

My Charity Square for the 2014 Quilt
Its from The Legendary Starfy for the DS. This scene contains Starfy and Boss Big Squiddy. I liked the colors of this particular project.-

Re: BigDaddyWiz's Projects (The Legendary Starfy)
Finished my Super Metroid project.
Im happy with the way it turned out but the amount of color changes made this one hard to work on.-

That looks great! Samus is in there and everything now!
My goal in life is pretty much to have a back that looks that neat - Jeeze. (Mine looks like somebody went crazy.)
