Ok, all that's left is the title screen.

If I (or anyone else) manage to complete all of this, I think I'd need to dedicate a room in my house to them. Doesn't even need other furniture. Just these.

I do have to say, I plan to stitch Bowser and Special on black aida, Yoshi and the main map on dyed blue, and Star Road probably on navy. Maybe I'll do Vanilla Dome on black as well so it matches Bowser's castle.

Also, I have updated the main map previously posted. I changed the colors of the tall green shrubs(?) to match the darker two shades of the grass. I originally thought they would look better to match the closeup of Yoshi's map, but I like it better this way.

Wow, that's amazing. I can't even imagine stitching this, I hope you complete it so I can see how it looks!

Ok, final patterns. I made a full title screen, and one that's just title text for the less crazy.

This one is a little bit bigger than the other "mini maps" but I didn't feel like sacrificing detail just to make it the same size.

The title screen is awesome, and now in my (already too big to reasonably manage) pile of things to do!

Definitely adding at least one of these maps to my to-do list. They look awesome, and definitely deserve a place on a wall that can be seen by everyone.

Alrighty then. I have the floss, I have the patterns, I have the dye, now I just need to find a couple big freakin pieces of 28 or 32 count and I'll be ready for this madness! Thank you for all the work that has gone into the patterns. I'm about an eighth of the way through the Mario Through The Ages, so as soon as that's done I'll get goin on this. :-)

I originally wanted to start with the Special map, since it has the fewest stitches, but now I kind of want to start with the title screen. That way if I lose heart after one of these, I won't have just the Special map to show for it, haha.

Thanks for all of the maps, FunkyMonkey!

I also like the idea mentioned about dying a piece of white fabric blue so the water doesn't take so long. However, I've never dyed a piece of aida cloth before. I wouldn't know where to start... What brand and color of dye would I need? Where would I find it? How do I go about dying it? Any tips would be very much appreciated!!
