I now have less than 100 miles left til I hit rivendale.
That's been my target location to get to by the end of August. Works out around 50 miles in the next two months.

I know I'm a little late to the party but, I am definitely going to start this!

Now I'll be inspired to keep up my walking goals (Plus I get to yell, "I'm taking the ring to Mordor!!!!!!!" every time I leave my house)

I have been caught, luckily by generic bandits and not by the Lords of darkness, they have tied me up and I am currently reaching for a carelessly abandoned knife to cut myself loose.

Just set yourself targets for where to get to at the end of each month. That's what I'm doing. :D
