Ahh, three is so hard. Hmm, I'm just going to stick with your list or else I could have tons of 'others' as well. I voted for Star Trek, Stargate and Star Monty Python.

Looked again, still can't find Mario. Is it actually there?
Is there any chance we could make polls on big lists like this alphabetical just as a general policy? They don't all fit on one page, and my eyes go funny trying to make sense of the random order.

I don't think Mario is on the list, you'll have to choose Other.
Big surprise to me too, would've thought Mario was a must...

Hmmm...this is quite the list! I picked Sherlock because it's Sherlock. Then Buffy and Firefly because, well, Joss Whedon!
So many other marvelous choices though!

So many yummy choices! I ended up going with the fandoms I've been a part of for the longest, so Sailor Moon, Pokemon, and World of Warcraft. (Harry Potter could have replaced WoW, but I'm kinda in a hack and slash mood right now)

Sooooo...picking three was pretty intense.
Sailor Moon, Zelda, and Bob's Burgers for me. But like others I would have had many, many more on my list lol

Yep, I screwed up and forgot Mario. I'm so sorry. I would edit it, but I can't because it would reset the poll. Yes, in the future, I will totally put lists in alphabetical order.Eliste wrote:Looked again, still can't find Mario. Is it actually there?

Re: Poll: Which fandom wins Sprite Stitch?
Such a hard choice! First, the three I choose:
Doctor Who: I've been a Whovian since 2000-2001ish. I'm currently going through and watching every episode that I can (currently on the Third Doctor). Not really sure what drew me in first. I think partially it was that the Fourth Doctor (Tom Baker) also played Puddleglum in the BBC's version of The Silver Chair which I grew up watching. Also, I grew up on sci-fi stuff, so that drew me in as well. Love the Doctor, and if the TARDIS materialized outside my door, you betcha I would be off traveling with the Docotr.
Narnia: My parents read these books to me while I was growing up. I have fond memories of us traveling somewhere for vacation, my mom (or dad, whoever wasn't driving) reading through The Chronicles of Narnia to entertain us. We got the BBC's miniseries on VHS and I'm pretty sure we watched them once a month. Narnia was always a place I wanted to go and visit (or live!). My brother and I would play in the backyard of us finding our way to Narnia. I think I may need to reread the series to my daughter (who is partially named after Lucy Pevensie, my favorite of the siblings).
Sherlock: Again, another love of mine from my childhood. Our library had some animated adventures of Sherlock that we would rent out from time to time. I loved the detective stories and I even bought a book with some of his stories in it. I was really a bit too young to read it, though. Had to keep asking my mom what certain words were until she said I might be a bit too young for it. lol. Oh well...I want to see more of the older TV/movies that have been made. I love the BBC's Sherlock with Benedict Cumberbatch. There are a few things that I would change, but overall it's a very well-done modern retelling of the tales.
Honorable mentions: Harry Potter, Star Wars, Star Trek, Assassin's Creed, Digimon, Pokemon, Avatar, Marvel, DC, Stargate, Ghibli, Bioshock, Batman, Kingdom Hearts, Legos, Lord of the Rings, Dungeons and Dragons, Okami, Naruto, Sims, Firefly, Monty Python, Bob's Burgers.

Re: Poll: Which fandom wins Sprite Stitch?
Mine is just towards the NES as a whole, everything on that gaming console. Can't be just one game or series. I've enjoyed and beaten far more games on this system than any other. There was a time that my whole life, everything revolved around the NES, I didn't do anything else with my time, almost all my free time was gaming, and at one point solely on the NES for 5 whole years before I diversified again. While I rarely play games much anymore once I took to stitching, that's all I ever stitch from as well. If its not on the NES then I won't do it. There was a time back in the 90s that I was a huge fan of Sailor Moon, but I gradually lost interest, not saying I don't like anymore, just I'm not nuts over it anymore. Of all things I've ever taken an interest NES games are the only things that have been a constant in my life, so yeah, I guess I'm a fan of that.

I went for Pokemon, Firefly and Monty Python. I heart Monty Python lots, probably more than is healthy! And Firefly because mmmm Nathan Fillion. Mmmmmm.
Currently attempting: Epic Pokemon Cross Stitch Gen I, M'aiq the Liar
