What games are you playing now, and why?

Just spent the last month replaying Shadow of the Colossus, and oh my god is it still beautiful and lovely as ever.

Finally giving the time attacks a shot as well as hard mode, as well as making time for Etrian Mystery Dungeon, Final Fantasy Curtain Call, and Disgaea 4.

I need more time *stares at piles of projects to do*

Just finished Suikoden. Started Suikoden 2 a few hours ago.

I've started getting addicted to Toontown again. A third party has made it available after Disney putting the kabash on it in 2013. My friend and I used to tear this game up and we, almost literally, played it all day every day for a few years before I couldn't afford to pay the monthly fee anymore. Toontown Rewritten is completely free and is basically up as an homage to the original. It's still in beta and can be pretty glitchy sometimes and doesn't quite have everything done that the original had but it's getting there. I'm just really happy this game is back.

As for my portable gaming (ie bedtime gaming) it's still been a toss up between Puzzle and Dragons Z and Professor Layton vs. Phoenix Wright. Been getting a little burned out on PADZ so I figured I'd work through more of the story on PL vs. PW. Heh.

Picked up the current Humlbe Bundle, so I finally get to play Braid. So far, I really, really like it - it's beautiful, the score is great and the game mechanics are original and fun. However, it's also quite frustrating as I don't 'get' a lot of the puzzles. I just had an 'aha-erlebnis' on the bus on how to solve one particular puzzle and can't wait to get home and try it! Haven't tried the other games in the Bundle yet, but frankly if you haven't played Braid yet it's worth picking up just for that.

I just finished playing Professor Layton and the Unwound Future, and HOLY FUDGEMUFFINS THE FEELS.

I can't say much more without spoiling it for others, but I don't care how much I paid for this game. Totally worth every penny.

Just started playing "Ori and the Blind Forest" off steam. Holy cow, I know what I'm stitching next. That game is a piece of art.

I just picked up Fantasy Life and I like it. It reminds me a little bit like Animal Crossing but (for me a least) more interesting.

Careful, it's addicting xD But that might be because I'm addicted to leveling up. It's definitely a lot easier to make goals for Fantasy Life than for Animal Crossing, which is a huge plus for me.

I just brought Skyrim, after much hinting from friends that I should play it, can't wait to try it out later
A tad anxious about the fact that it's second hand, but the place does rigorous testing and have a 12 month warranty on everything for free, so it should be OK.
