My son turns 6 on Tuesday. I've mentioned before he has a huge problem with food-dye which makes all store bought cakes off limits, and severely limits our options when decorating home made cakes.
He wanted a Pokémon cake. So here is the result:

Is it bipolar to post in the FML and YML threads about the same topic in the same day? Oh well.

If you didn't see my other post, some jerk ripped a copy of one of my youtube videos, and shared it on facebook under their own profile without any credit to me. It has nearly 1.4 million views now, while my original video is around 16,000.

The good news: guess who's currently featured on the front page of avclub.com (WITH credit)! http://www.avclub.com/article/journeys- ... oys-213613

Everything will be ok :)

I know I posted about my meds a while ago, but shortly after that it kind of went down hill, as I couldn't handle the stimulants, but now that I'm home I got a chance to go to my doctor here, and she took me off the ADD meds, and onto one for just the anxiety, and I'm so happy, it's working really good and quite a couple people around me have commented that it's like a fog has lifted off of me. I go in tomorrow for my follow up appointment, and I feel like for once I have really good news to report :D just thought I'd share since I'm super excited about this!

It's amazing how good you feel when you're finally on the right meds ^_^ I was put on the wrong meds for a while, so when I was asked how they were working, it was like, "Um, I think they are? Can't really tell." But they switched me to another medication, and it's working noticeably better. Been on them a couple of months, and I'm actually actively cleaning and working out ^_^ After listening to me talk about my week, the bf said he was impressed at how productive I'd been, and I didn't even realize it xD

EDIT: So I was babbling over on the workout thread, and that reminded me of something I'm pretty proud of. Last week, I went to all three practices for fencing club ^_^ Due to depression, I haven't really wanted to hang out with people, and fencing is easily the most social place for me. Last semester, I stopped going to practice fairly early on, so when I went last Monday, people were pretty excited to see me. That really, really made me feel better about things :3 All right, done babbling. Bye!

Welp, I guess it's time to post this since it's so close to happening.. My hubby and I are going to become home owners as of the 27th of this month.. This is the big project that I mentioned in the 2015 finished quilt squares thread... The house is still right in town were we live already and only about a 5 minute walk from our apartment. Our closing date in the 27th and we will be moving over the 4 days after that. This is our first and hopefully last house. Hubby is only about 18 yrs from retirement right now, even though he will likely work longer since he HATES sitting around, and he'd like to have the house paid off by the time he is able to retire.
