Assassin's Creed inspired border

Post by stitchingmama »

I'm trying to design an Assassin's Creed bookmark for my husband for our anniversary but I'm having trouble finding/designing a border. I'm looking for it to be 4 to 6 stitches wide using 1 to 3 colours (red, black, gray).I'll be using Aida count 16 or 18. I was thinking maybe a sword/dagger motif? But I can't seem to design my own. My original idea was 8-bit hearts but my brother says I can't add hearts to Assassin's Creed.

Any help would be appreciated.

I got some inspiration for my border - swords & cross bows. It looks like this:

You could backstitch in the Assassin's Creed: "Nothing is true, everything is permitted" down the sides, you would just have to work out if it would fit.

I just had a thought: if there are any Hunger Games fans out there, you could use that as the border to a bookmark, along with that saying, "May the odds be ever in your favor." might even design that now.

Tomorrow I hope to get all the white stitching (grrr... I hate stitching in white) on the third assassin & the backstitching on the crossbows done. Then I'll just be seeing red :D .
