Any SAL?

Postby sadiestitches08 » Mon Aug 18, 2014 11:06 am

Are there any new SALs coming up? I would love to join one, but I seem to be too late to really join a group like the frosted pumpkin.

Would any one be interested in starting/participating in one?

Are you participating in a SAL? Where?

We actually did a stitch along here last year. It was fun. We did a 4 row sampler with different video games. The first three rows were picked for us from the bands submitted by anyone who wanted to make one, and then the last one was one we got to choose from the submitted ones that hadn't already been used. It was fun. Everyone's looked different even using the same threads and such because some put borders, some used fancy threads, some used fancy aida, etc. I actually dyed my fabric before I started. It might be fun to do another sometime this year perhaps or next year.

Thank you for the vote of confidence Out2lunch. I wouldn't even know where to begin.

I believe one is planned for 2015. IIRC the plan is to alternate Big Swaps and Stitch-A-Longs and this year its a Big Swap. Or something like that. But one will come.

Now that you say that Eliste, I think I remember that we had/have a thread where we all put in our thoughts about this and I am thinking that was the outcome. We would alternate, which is good.

Oh cool, I think that means 2017 will be the year where I pick up cross-stitch! :D
