While Waiting for Project Funds....

Postby MeiTow » Tue Jan 01, 2013 10:34 pm

Found this little guy in the patterns section and I had the colors (well, similar anyway lol) to stitch him up while I wait on the funds to get the goods for my next three projects. LOL! I thought he was adorable. :D

Thank you! :D Hubby found the desktop pic for me as Starry Night is my favorite art piece and who doesn't love Pac-Man?! :D:D I'm usually one of those that's constantly changing their desktop pic out of boredom but I love this one too much. lol

And yes, I love the pattern! This place has so many great ones that I'll be keeping myself busy for some time (which is great because cross stitching has another great bonus...I've quit biting my nails because my hands are busy lol).

Should be getting my stuff this weekend (fingers crossed) for the charity quilt pieces and the monthly challenge but until then...

A kit piece I started a decade ago for a friend, finally almost done. lol This thing just bored me so much I put it away half done and just now found it again. If I never see that "good fortune" symbol again it will be too soon.... All I have left to do on this one is some couching and a twisted six strand border.

Trying to find some motivation to finish this one because I ended up cutting it so close on the edges that one bit at the bottom is starting to come undone and depressed me. :( I started this for the December villains contest and, obviously, never got it done. lol

Last small piece for a friend who loves all things Scottish/Irish. I made a pattern out of a pic I found online and am doing it up in the meantime as part of a craft exchange.

I've done the 'Good Fortune' one years ago. I think the only reason why I finished it was for something to do on my breaks at work and in between classes at school. I tend to take small pieces with me just for that reason. :D

My friend bought it for me to do for him and bought me a wolf one as "payment". I promised him I wouldn't start the wolf one till his was done (and I haven't. Still sitting in the packaging although I opened it to check it out). Like I said, I got about halfway done with it and just got bored, I guess, and didn't really do any stitching in all that time till recently. Figured I'd look and see if I could find it again a few weeks ago and did so now I feel like I should finish it for him in time for his birthday in a few weeks. I told him I found something I owed him and asked for his address (we barely see each other anymore but keep up contact on FB) and he seems to have forgotten all about it so it should be a nice surprise when I mail it to him. I wish I had the money to frame it for him but oh well. lol

And yeah, I've been taking my small projects to doctor's appointments lately. Good for passing the time!
