Shiloh's Stitches

Post by Kareesh »

So, since I'm thinking of starting to sell some of the projects I make (in the future, not right now) I figured I needed a logo. I'm no graphic designer, so I decided to stitch one up. I think all said and done, this took me about an hour, but it seemed like all day as I had to keep putting it down to take care of other things around the house. I'm thinking I may frame it in a wooden hoop, as I think it looks kinda cool that way. I just need to put one little stitch on the needle to keep it straight when it's hanging, but other than that, it's all done. :)

You might need two to keep the thread from dragging the back end down. Alternatively, you could have it going in and out of an Aida square, no stitches needed!

But very lovely. I like the effect of the thread coming off the spool.

It's really nice! I also like the thread coming off the spool, it's a cute touch.
Best of luck with your selling!

I like the idea of cross stitching a business card. That's a pretty neat idea!

Thank you, all! The needle and thread was actually a last minute idea. After I had done the letters and the spools, I thought it needed something else. I got the idea of doing the additional thread from another project I had done and hey-presto!

I thought about doing that, but I already have the thread tacked down pretty close to the needle, so to do that I would have to un-tack it. Also, in my head I think it looks better on top of the fabric, but I guess we'll see. :)

I can't even imagine doing this for business cards. 'Cause once you make one, and you give it away, then you would have to make another one. My mind boggles at the thought of all the business cards one could make.
