Sad iPod

Post by benjibot »

When my iPod died, I decided to honor his memory by recreating his sad iPod face.

It's not easy to tell in the photo, but it's on off-white fabric which is just about exactly the same color as the old black & white screens.

A while back I did a search for my username on Google when I realized most folks who come across my stuff on Flickr or on forums call me that and not my real name. This one was on a couple of sites. Like a game of telephone the story mutated a bit along the way and I was said to have a dead U2 edition iPod. As these things go, that's not terribly interesting except that I'd posted a side-by-side shot.

Awww that's a sad end to your ipod, U2 edition or not.... I like your little stitching... but it must bring back a sad memory of when the ipod died! I remember when mine died but it was only a nano so had no screen to have anything like that.

Ha Ha LMAO!!! I'm not addicted to any music player. My nano broke a few years ago and I've not needed to replace it.

Is it bad that I giggled? Not because of your dead iPod (because loss of mobile music is tragic) but because that is actually a cool little cross stitch.

Makes me think you could do a whole range of iPod faces. Start a new fad or something.

I think this totaly would be awesome on a bag or a purse like a patch. I dont know why, just a thought, i really love it. it makes me sad tho, poor ipod.
Cats are awesome, just not when you are cross stitching.
