Christmas Snoopy Completed

Hi everyone! For Christmas I received a cross-stitch kit that my lovely wife put together for me because for years I've talked about trying to cross-stitch again. So, 20+ years later I completed this Snoopy. I would love any feedback you could share with me because I'm still learning. I tried using 6 threads for his hat but after doing part of the white band with 6 I quickly decided that was too difficult so I went back to 3. My biggest struggle with this was thread bunching up and how to start and finish the thread. The back of my pattern looks really messy.

I was thinking of making him into an ornament and giving him to my son next Christmas, is that possible?

Snoopy looks pretty cute to me! Nice work! Most people use 2-3 strands to stitch with, depending on which looks better to you. There is a thread about making the backs neater here: viewtopic.php?f=8&t=4296
You could definitely turn that into an ornament for your son. I found this tutorial that might help you: http://www.ehow.com/how_6012992_finish- ... ments.html. You could also put it into a small hoop (or frame) then cover the back with a piece of fabric or felt to cover up the back of your stitching. I know there are more ways to do ornaments, but those are the only two I can come up with right now. There's really no right or wrong way to do it, whatever you like best. Good luck!

Very nice, I love Snoopy !!
Personnaly I wouldn't use more than 2 (for 16 count aida) or 3 (for 14) strands...

@Katdun Thanks for your feedback and I really appreciate the links. I'll let you know if I'm successful with the ornament transformation.

@La Ptite Bete Good advice. I wasn't sure how many threads to use and my mother-in-law suggested "whatever looks best or 3."
