One of my first cross stitches...

I was over at my Pawpaw's a couple weeks ago and I found this cross stitch I made and gave him for Christmas back when I was 12. Didn't realize how detailed it was when I was doing it.
All that backstitching too... and that's my least favorite part now!

I was glad he still had it too! I can remember my first cross stitch was a strawberry that I no longer have, followed by one fish that I still have and then the one I made for my pawpaw. After that I didn't stitch again until just a few years ago. Just think if I had kept stitching that whole time I could be a master by now!
