Sprite Stitch Board!

Hi! This is the first thing I'm posting here, I've got some finished that I need to post as well... I hand drew some little pieces of pixel art that we are planning on incorporating into my website when the boyfriend and I can finally find the time to create a custom layout. Anyway, I was looking at them and I was thinking it would be fun to stitch, so I turned the gridlines on in MS Paint, scrounged up the few colors I've got in the house that match and started stitching. Haven't gotten very far, and I think it's gonna turn out to be pretty big because I keep forgetting that 14 Aida makes things bigger. lol

So, here it is with the image I'm using as a pattern:

Hope you guys like it. It's just a bunch of different motifs that are, well, me. haha There's a One Ring on there and a lightning bolt. Those were the two hardest designs to draw, honestly. I had to change Android a bit when I stitched him. The amount of pixels translated differently as stitches and he would have looked too tall in the stitch. So, I eliminated the bottom row or two from that design. Also adding some half stitches (or are they quarter stitches?) to make him look more round, and then I back stitched in the same color to add to the effect, although I think it made the antennas look too fat. Oh well.

I'll make sure to post this as I go along so that you guys can see some of my work (along with my finished stuffs I'm gonna post) for the swap since I'm a n00bie.

I need some help... I can't decide whether to fill in Hello Kitty... I had intended to do so, but I think she looks really cute with out being filled... But I just can't decide whether I wanna keep it that way or not. What do you guys think? (And yes, I know her bow is supposed to be red, but I didn't have any red laying around, just pink. Oh well.)

For me personally, I always think it looks much nicer to fill in white, even on white.

It's actually on hand dyed pink fabric with light purple blotches on it. There's just something about the way it looks to me (I took the pictures with my cell phone so it doesn't look the same in person) that I like it not filled in... but... Would it look better filled in? I just can't decide. Maybe I will. I'll take another picture with my real camera and upload it later.

Also, where can I get the pattern for that Sanrio stitch? It's super cute!

I made that Sanrio stitch a while ago. I just looked for the pattern for you, and the website no longer exists! I'm sorry. I found some other cute ones though.

Aw, that's ok! I appreciate you looking! Could you maybe link me the other ones though? I can't seem to find any good Hello Kitty patterns anywhere.


This is my progress so far. Gotta say, I like Hello Kitty even better filled in. I really like the way this is turning out. Yay!

I agree, it looked cute before, but it looks loads better filled in. I really like how you've done the bow too, with the two different shades of pink. Very kawaii!

Only a few more designs left. I'd say it'll be done by Sunday. Which is good, because Monday, I order all the stuffs I need to start Turtles (http://www.spritestitch.com/?p=287) for the boyfriend.
