I was working on a Murloc kit I bought, but I saw so many neat projects on here I got inspired to start one of my own. Akira is one of my favorite animes, so I decided to make it the subject.
Here is the original image:
I just started tonight, so I am not very far, but here is the WIP:
That is the bottom of the middle kanji character.
I will post more pics as I continue to make progress

I promise next time to use my actual camera and not take the lazy way out and use the cell phone.

One of my all time favourite animes! Good luck with the project, it's going to look cool when done

Making some progress, although it is very slow going, because I am a slow stitcher, and I have had a nasty cold all week. Anyway, heres where I am at:
The kanji still needs to be filled in with a couple shades of red that I don't have yet, so I will be making a trip to the craft store on Friday. Also, somehow I missed a whole row of stitches, and since I didn't want to go back and remove the 9 rows before it I am just going to let it ride and hopefully I can work around it.

i've thought the same about stitches before and it hasn't worked. i wish you the best of luck in finding your way around them!

Oh noes

I am really hoping that I can work around it, I would hate to scrap 10+ hours of work. The white area is all correct so my thought is that if I count from there I should be good. Maybe. I guess I will have to wait and see...

I've done it before. It just takes some careful counting and remembering which parts are right and wrong. Just take your time and you should be able to do it.
