I started this pattern on July 29. I hope for it to be a Christmas present for my mom. She has recently become addicted to the show and when I saw this pattern by the lovely La Ptite Bete I knew it would be perfect for her.

I think I've made pretty good progress, but I know I'll slow way down when I go back to school at the end of the month.

I've gotten quite a bit of work done on this in the past few days. The other bottom corner (of the current page)has finally been reached.

The colors are a little wonky because my camera has run off, and my phone had to be used. The fabric isn't exactly flat either. Oh, well the next picture will be better I hope.

After having a not so great first week back to school it is nice to have people say kind things. It makes me want to work on it more, especially since I haven't worked on it for the last week or so. I'm happy people think it looks good! My dad has said it looks nice, but he would say that even if it looked like I had done it with my foot. Since I've gotten quite a bit done in the last three days or so I'll try to post an update tonight.

I hope to be done with this page by tomorrow night. I don't have classes tomorrow so I plan to stitch most of the day.

School has definitely gotten better. The colors aren't so boring to do. As soon as I get sick of one I'm only a few stitches away from finishing it. The colors are in perfectly sized chunks. The buildings are the most boring to work on. I get sick of those colors more easily, but I see progress on them faster so it keeps me interested.

Oh wow. I definitely would have thought that it would have been boring with all the similar colors. Looking good~

Do you find that it's easier to work with if you sketch the blocks onto the fabric?

The current page has more yellow than green. I haven't gotten to any non green colors on it yet, but I will be happy when I do.

discoqueen, the blocking helps me immensely. It gives me another guide to double check my counting against, instead of just going with the stitching in place I can check with the blocks and the stitches. It lets me double and triple check my counting more easily. This is good because my counting is almost always off.
