Playing in the roses with a light-house?

Hello fellow crafters. I found no intro thread so I decided to do one before I posted my cross stitch foo.
I'm new to the hobby of cross stitching but I'm feeling the thrill of it quite well.

Here is my first big project. It took me about 6 days to make. I know it's not that big but for a first time I'm happy with it.


This is a little thing that I was playing with. This one only took me 3 days to do. The little rose bud wasn't supposed to be there but patterns are meant to be changed, imo..


Here's a little light-house that I changed slightly from a bigger pattern found on http://www.cross-stitchers-club.com. This one took only about 5 days to do.
