I finished this little critter the other day. It was my very first commissioned piece, and I'm really pleased with how it turned out.
It's a grey plush bunny, with a monochrome Dr. Seuss print (which is also on plush fabric) as the contrast fabric. As always, I designed and made the bunny from scratch, and it was great fun picking out which parts of the print should appear on the paws, feet, ears, and tail.

Adorable! I love how the Dr. Seuss fabric is monochrome, giving this little bunny a very homey feel.

Re: My first commision - Storybook Bunny
Thanks very much!
The fabrics were picked by my client. I found them to go together quite elegantly.
I forgot to mention, this was the first (and with any luck, last!) time I've done embroidered eyes on a plush. It hurt my fingers quite a bit, so I'd rather not do it again!

That is super adorbs! Did they specifically request the eyes that way? I give you a lot of credit for not just using buttons or such. The whole thing turned out great.

Thanks again, you guys.
They did, yep. My thumb still isn't very happy about it, haha.BooChocoBoom wrote:Did they specifically request the eyes that way?
I typically use safety eyes on stuff for myself, and I don't ever use buttons as eyes for safety reasons (the sort of things I usually make tend to appeal to full-grown geeks who played particular games decades ago, though, but there's no harm in thinking of those "Just in case..." sorts of things), but the request for this one was specifically to have them embroidered, so I did so.I give you a lot of credit for not just using buttons or such.
