Lcockitt's stuff

I realised it's been a while since posting anything I've made, and don't want you all thinking I just sit around without working on anything :P

I've got a lot of different things on the go, and I'm hoping to finish a few of these off before beginning any others. I've been working on a kit mainly, with house moving and everything I've needed something that could be packed away quickly and easily, without the risk of losing anything. It's a DMC kit, called Mischief. Here's how it's looking so far (I still can't rotate my pics, sorry):

Still a long way to go!

My (current) plan is to get this finished before finishing M'aiq and getting back to the Epic Pokemon Gen 1. Chances are that I'll be distracted by something else inbetween - possibly a quick little Nyan cat stitching...

I'm not much for lions (other than The Lion King) but even I think that's a cute one! Please keep posting WIP pics. It always inspires me to get working on something.

Posting this as a WIP has made me want to finish it! I managed to get a fair bit done, now I've just got the head and the backstitching (evil, nasty backstitching) to do. Progress has been slowed recently as I've been distracted by attempting to knit socks.

I've even managed to get the photo the right way up this time! :D

Very cute! I just finished a Tiger Cub myself, so I'm looking forward to seeing this finished!

Progress! I was away with work last week and needed a relaxed weekend to recover, so Mischief is looking a bit more complete!
Here he is on Friday night

Now all I have left is the backstitching, washing, ironing and framing, yay!

Also, my relaxing weekend involved baking (warning, cakes in the spoiler)

Guiness cakes with Baileys icing (and green food colouring - it's St Patrick's Day afterall). Very scrumptious. I'm hoping my work colleagues/brother/friends will take most of these off my hands quickly, otherwise there's a possibility I will devour them.

I still need to weave in the ends and add in a border, then decide what I want to do with him. I'm not sure whether I want to make him into a kind of shawl and wear him everywhere, or back him and hang him up on a wall.

That is so cool! I'm amazed that you were able to do this with such a complicated image as a portrait.

Sadly I can't take credit for the pattern - I just followed it as best as I could! Luckily the pattern maker explained it really well. I'm now tempted to try making my own when I have the time...
