I wish that I had a lot more to post...but I don't. I spent a nice chunk of time that the forum's been down dealing with a finger injury.

BUT...I did finish the butterfly band before the injury!

And then I was finally able to get the next round done...

And now we're in a heatwave again, so Sophie's still slow going

My finger did remind me last night that it's still healing...but it's better today

And I also finally accepted the fact that it is WAY too warm and humid for me to be working on Sophie (I did a whole blog post about it, complete with melting ice cream cone). So here's Sophie waving goodbye before she went on summer vacation!

If we have some cool days, she may come for a visit. Otherwise I will see her again this fall.

Quick update...done a tiny bit on that round on Sophie on a cool day (would have gotten more done if I hadn't messed up that round in the first place!)

AND I started the Ubuntu CAL last week (designed by the same wonderful designer that created Sophie)...here's a pic from that first night. Had to break out the Sophie book for help on a stitch, because for the life of me I couldn't find the stitch in the help document, even though it was there (let's face it...when you are sick, it's not always easy to see the obvious)
