Oh wow its been over a year since Ive posted here. I just refound the site after my last computer up and died.
So I went and made two pokemon badge pendants out of glass xD. I love the Unova badges since they remind me so much of glass anyways.
They are made with all glass (not paint or paper) that I designed, shaped and melted twice.
Burgh - Insect Badge
Skyla - Jet Badge

These are beautiful
I would love to try working with glass, is it hard/expensive to get set up? What is needed? and do you know any good introductory books/tutorials?

To be honest glass is a super expensive thing to start with. Even a tiny starter kiln will cost around $500 and some of the sheets of glass can cost upwards of $40. There arent a whole lot of tutorials out there. You can find some on firing schedules ... Im actually completely self taught in glass because there isnt much out there on what I wanted to do with it.
