Is that knit? I've never tried knitting stuffed toys; only crochet. Was it difficult?

It is knit. This horse pattern isn't hard (it's knitted flat then sewed together). For knitting toys, I am finding out that you need to be skilled either with double points or with the mattress stitch and that there seems to be more options for crochet. I'm no good with dpns so I hunt for patterns that can be knitted flat.
