Super Mario Bros Quilt

Post by Xanatos »

For Christmas this year I decided I would make my sister and her boyfriend the Super Mario Bros quilt which can be found here - http://cuttopieces.blogspot.com.au/p/qu ... s.html?m=1

The only problem is the finished quilt is single bed sized where as I'm after a double/queen sized. As such my version will be 20 blocks rather than the original 12.

This is my progress so far -

I have a Bom-omb, boo, coin, p-wing and feather left to do...plus a couple I'm still undecided on!

Looks awesome - very clean lines and form. That blue is a great background choice!

This is so cool! Makes me want to learn how to quilt, just so that I can make this.

This is actually easier than it looks - all you need to do is sew in a straight line

That's awesome. *adds another project to the list*

Are you using solids?

Yup all solids (homespun and shadow play). Given it's 6,503 pieces I figured anything patterned would make the quilt waaaaaaaaay to busy to look at.

In other news it's ready to be quilted! :yahoo:
