I'm going to put some sew some black and white checkered fabric to the back.
How do you sew fabric on to the back of these? I have never successfully sewed fabric onto a kntted or crocheted blanket before. any advice would be helpful. Thanks!
Soo, it's been a while since I've updated but I proud to announce as of February 9, 2015 I have officially completed my blanket backing and all. I apologize for the quality of picture (phone camera) but I just haven't had any time to retake a better picture. Life has gotten quite crazy around my neck of the woods and I wanted to get my hubby's blanket done before our son arrives (due March 27th).

Basically what I did was measure out my blanket and put the batting and fabric over top trimming it down with a couple extra inches just in case I screwed up. Then I pinned it down and hand sewed the fabric to the blanket (forgive me but I can't remember the stitch I used). After I finished a row of stitching I tugged the seam to make sure it was secure and continued until it was finished.
