Tetris quilt

This is a Tetris quilt I made for my friend. On facebook, I posted a picture of a cross stitch bookmark that showed something similar, said I was thinking about it as a quilt idea, and my friend said "OMG, I need this quilt!!" So I just surprised him with it today! I designed it myself and it only took 2 tries to get the completely filled in grid. I love how it came out.

It wasn't too difficult to do, since it was just squares. I saw other ones online that had multiple colors in each block to look more 3-D but that wasn't happening. Feel free to use my grid when you do get the ambition :)

Awesome! I too have this on my long list of items to do. I really like the 3D one but it does seem like way too much work!

This got a good laugh out of me. :mspac

I love the whole thing - like your other quilts that I've seen here, it really is something else, and the nicely-matching quilting pattern is really nice icing on the cake.

EDIT: That's odd. A completely innocuous word in my post (a synonym for "appropriate"/"matching") was censored, so I've had to change my wording slightly.

When the board software got updated, a word censoring tool was in it. Some of the words on the censor list are silly (some made me giggle, though!)
If you're being censored while being non-offensive, that's not right. What was your word? Try putting hyphens in it or something :D

Sorry to topic hijack! :D

It was fit+ting (minus the plus, of course). As you can see, it's not at all hyphen-friendly. :P

Same here - sorry about that!

Thank you so much. I'm glad it got a laugh :) I showed it to one friend who didn't get it... it made me :(

That layout is awesome. I so have to use it for my 3D patterns. ;)

Speaking of, if you ever do decide to do one, I can give you the methods for the blocks. Don't mind sharing with another awesome quilter.
