The squares look great! I can't wait to see the link, katamari and chocobo square. Now you won't only have an awesome quilt but also a shiny new sewing machine, win win situation.

Here's an overview of the 22 squares that are planned out.

(And most of them needing a lot of stitching still!)

The new machine is so much better than my last its not even funny. I'm eyeballing a couple of my old squares and wondering about redoing them.

Meanwhile... here's a Tonberry:

I love the new squares, so adorable!

I just want to hug and squeeze that little Tonberry so much! ^_^

What kind of sewing machine did you get as a replacement if you don't mind me asking?

Its a Janome DC 2011

Its a mid-range model, but still a massive upgrade for me. From about 8 stitch varieties up to 50; has a fancypants needle threader; you can actually tell it to finish each stitch with the needle down; or tell it that you really don't want to drive faster than a specific speed... which is good when you go from the method of good eyesight and spit to thread your needle and a peddle that wanted to go from 0 to 60 in a foot twitch. :swoon:

Ooo that is a snazy machine ^_^ I've only ever heard good things about Janomes. =D I love the auto threader on my machine (I have a Brothers 7500) best thing ever.

Hehe, I was so excited to see the bouncy King head for your Katamari square, that was the first thing that popped in my head ;p

Can't wait to see it finished!

Well I may have mis-measured one of my square designs I think...

Link (who still needs his eyes hand embroidered on) seems a bit large....

And I know at one point I learned that one of my image programs auto scales... so if this one won't fit in my 10 inch squares I'm going to have to go with turning this one into a matching toss pillow and re-doing him. :Link
