Totally seeing it now you have said it :D

I've finished another one. :D

This guy's name is Arthur, because I happened to be reading about the history of RISC OS when I started working on him, and he's a novelty bag/desk-tidy. The darker blue fabric loops that sit behind his shoulders (you can see one of them in the photo) can be used to attach a shoulder-strap to, or to hold pens and suchlike. I briefly tried changing the direction of the pile of the hair-fabric to point towards his face instead of away from it, but it looked bad, so his hair is exactly like that of the others, instead of different as originally planned.

He's got a zippered Builder backpack for carrying things in (but no brick in his hands because having his arms outstretched would have made him far too unwieldy to use as a bag!), which, in order to save a lot of time and effort setting a zip in place, was made around a coin-purse blank purchased from Baker Ross (a UK-based craft goods supplier who I find to be very good).

More to come, as usual. :P

Thanks again, guys. :)

Also: I've finished yet another plush lemming!

Image
His name is simply Mr. Lemming, after the "Mr. Lemming" mentioned in some of the level titles in the original Lemmings game. I wanted a mini-lemming to take on my travels, so that I can sneak him into photographs. Accordingly, this guy has a new lemming skill - Photobomber!

I made him during some free moments in between working on a gift for a friend (a one-off custom plush that's mostly too complex to machine-sew, to be accompanied by another full-sized lemming, who'll be the next lemming I post about in this thread, once he's finished).

Image
Here's a shot of Mr. Lemming with the previous full-sized lemming that I made, Arthur, just to show the size difference. Mr. Lemming was actually made from the very same pattern, but it was shrunk down, with just a few minor changes made so that it works at half-size (the most/only noticeable one of these changes is the lack of thumbs - they would have been impossible to turn at half-size, since they're bad enough at full-size!).

Mr. Lemming is four-and-a-half inches tall. I must admit that, as far as huggability goes, I prefer the full-sized ones, who are nine to ten inches tall, because I designed them to be as I always pictured the lemmings to be, size-wise. As far as the required trait of being pocket-sized goes, though, Mr. Lemming can't be beaten (and he stands unaided much more easily than the others, due to being smaller and lighter, too). :P

Image
Finally, here's a photo of him next to a CD case, in order to give a better idea of his size.

I should also make note here of how tiny his pupils are; They're made of black felt because I don't have any plastic eyes that small and because it wasn't possible to embroider them, are just 5mm across, and were cut as perfectly-round as a human hand can possibly manage. This was absolutely maddening, especially when it came to gluing the pupils in place, and, whilst it was fun making a miniature plush for a change, I don't want to do so again if I can help it! ;)

As ever, thanks for looking - I hope you guys like him. There'll be more to follow, as ever!

I've made yet another plush lemming! This one is the fifth one that I've made.

He's a gift for the same friend of mine who I made this plush dragon for, so I didn't give him a name (I'll leave that to his owner!). Here he is;

I'm very happy with how he's turned out. :D
