Re: Super Mario Bros Quilt
It looks great! I'm looking forward to seeing how you quilt it - are you doing straight lines or a pattern?

Yay! Congrats! Always a great feeling.Xanatos wrote:Yup all solids (homespun and shadow play). Given it's 6,503 pieces I figured anything patterned would make the quilt waaaaaaaaay to busy to look at.
In other news it's ready to be quilted!![]()
Did you make it the way they suggested on the back, with the fusible background? I've seen that technique, never tried it, and am intrigued.

No - it's $12/m for the stuff here and it would have made the quilt way to expensive for my budget. The technique seems to be the same as foundation piecing though. I have used foundation piecing before, just not with a wash-away product.LucyInTheSky wrote:

Continuous pattern - something quite open in design to contrast with the small fabric pieces used in the blocks. Nothing intricate to take away from the design though.lcockitt wrote:It looks great! I'm looking forward to seeing how you quilt it - are you doing straight lines or a pattern?
