How to clean 20+ year old pieces?

I recently was given a number of pieces my mother made for my grandmother over 20 years ago which have been hanging in my grandmother's home since then. Does anyone have suggestions/instructions on how to clean these pieces? 20+ years of ciagarette smoke and dust have turned the fabric yellow. I don't want to destroy any of the pieces my mother made. FYI - my mother passed in 1995 and my grandmother passed earlier this year. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated!

I would get them dry cleaned if they were that old. I don't think you will be able to get the yellow out unfortunately. One of the huge drawbacks of a piece in a smokers home.

i would get them cleaned professionally as well

with something that old and precious, i wouldn't trust myself not to ruin while cleaning, especially if i was trying to get nic stains off it, as they require some heavy duty cleaning.
