Today I was cross stitching at the haircut place while my husband got his hair cut and some one asked if I was crocheting. It gave me a little giggle so I thought I would share. I have had knitting and crochet get mixed up before but never had I heard anyone refer to cross stitch as crochet. It was an adult even and not a kid.

I did but it took everything I had to not giggle at her but as soon as we left I started cracking up laughing. Its always nice when someone notices my crafts I have just never had someone so far off base before.

Silly people indeed. My own husband cant keep all my crafts straight and still gets mixed up as to whether I am crocheting or knitting, cross stitch he knows though.

i was stitching at work once and someone asked 'why am i doing it?'
when i said 'i find it relaxing and it passes time when im bored', i got the responce 'why dont you do something less gay like play angry birds innit'
oh the joys of being a mid 20's guy who does crafty things

Firstly, Angry Birds is not "less gay" than cross stitching, how anyone would even consider letting that sentence out of their mouths is beyond me. Also, I would always disregard advice given by someone who used "innit" at the end of their sentence
