I couldn't find the original thread, sorry :\ But I just came across this person: http://www.etsy.com/listing/112129897/a ... h_type=all

That's Lord Libodan's pattern right?

It looks really familiar, but I'm not sure. Servo's epic Pokemon Generation I is definitely listed in that shop, though. :club: And I know we have versions of the Exploding Tardis and Dexter - Powersaw to the People patterned on this site. Didn't someone have issues with this seller before?

Yes, I believe so. I'm pretty sure some complaints went in. Perhaps more are necessary!

Yeah I've complained about this seller to Etsy before but nothing happened. There are a few other free patterns that she has as well that are from other sites. Myphotostitch was one, but I can't remember much of the others.

Have we tried complaining directly to that seller? She might take notice of a more direct approach.

I think this is despicable. :/

Is there any way to contact Etsy without having an account?

Some people have giant stones it seems. I like how she/he didn't even change the name of the epic PokeMon pattern. Heh.

The theft of the patterns irks me, but I also got irked because she had a pattern of the Doctor Hoo owls and named it "Owls on a Stick". Wtf?

The only two patterns I recognized were the two Pokemon ones, and I'm fairly certain they're from members here.

If you click the individual listings you can report an item. There is no "copyright/stolen" option so I choose "The item may not be handmade by the seller."
Then I wrote:
Spoiler
This pattern was stolen by the seller from Sprite Stitch and does not have permission to sell it.

Etsy is pretty well known for not following or enforcing their own rules very well so idk if there's much we can do.

Alternatively, you guys could write a DMCA takedown on it if you're sick of Etsy not doing things well.

You can only do it if its YOUR pattern they're taking, but its easy enough to do. http://www.wikihow.com/Write-a-DMCA-Take-Down-Request

Looks like Servotron will have to fill out the DMCA request himself.

This stuff irks me and I don't know how you guys deal with it...

My girlfriend was mentioning something like this to me a few days ago about how I spend hours creating patterns and what's to stop someone from stealing them and selling them. It's really sad and pathetic.
