It premiered here last night and as much as I want to love everything Joss Whedon is involved in I just thought it was... meh. It was alright, but nowhere near as good as I was expecting. What did everyone else think of it?

What channel was it on? I stayed on ABC pretty much all of last night, so I missed it.

It was on channel 7 at 7.30, but from next week it'll be on at 8.30. So many frickin' ads though!

Should either get an encore or I can dig it up on the site possibly, then.
As for the ads... unsurprised.

(the beauty of VCR's and PVR's lol)

I quite enjoy it, but I am definately hoping it picks up a bit. It has a lot of potential.

I though it was average. Like middle of the dial average. But it was hey this is the team and this is how they get to be a team and that's kinda boring... so maybe now it will be more fun stuff.
I hope they explore the huge religious impact the "New York" event has had on the world and how the world copes with it.
What about Sleepy Hollow on Ten? its Goofy but fun.
Also I trust we all know about the gigantic amounts of Dr Who on the ABC iView...
And if you are total Loki Fan Girls, Tom will be at Kinokuniya in Sydney soon to sign stuff.

I absolutely loved it. I loved the characters, I loved the premise, I loved everything. But then again, I am a huge comic book, marvel, and Joss Whedon nerd. I knew they were going to bring Agent Coulson back from the dead, but who thinks he has robot parts or was "reanimated" somehow after they talk behind his back? The second episode aired on Tuesday here, but I haven't had a chance to watch it.

I initially thought maybe Coulson had been cloned, but from the way he kept repeating words and phrases robot seems more likely!
I love the premise too, but I hated the Skye character. It was like they were trying way too hard for her to be funny and it just kept falling through, and the dynamic they're trying to get going with her and the male agent (completely missed his name, sometimes American accents in TV shows are kinda hard for me to understand) just didn't seem to work. Maybe as the show progresses it'll start to mesh a little better but at the moment I'm still on the fence.

One of the things that exists in the Marvel comics are LMDs "Life Model Decoys" which can be exact replicas of people.
I'm hoping they move away from the whole procedural direction they are going in though to be honest, it might improve once they start introducing the wider Marvel universe.

Loved it!
The first episode I was like "HOW many times are they gonna refer to the Avengers?", it was almost like they were name dropping and felt a bit cheesy but hey, I like a bit of cheese =D
Loved the Nick Fury turned up in the second ep.
And even though I knew they were gonna bring back Coulson I seriously had tears in my eyes when he appeared cos I cry every time I watch the Avengers and he dies! He's my fave non-superhero character!
I do hope they explore the Marvel universe a bit further but so far it looks like its on the same canonical path as the movies and there's plenty of avenues to explore that perhaps they won't have time to in the films. Let's wait and see!
Although I have this sinking feeling that because I love it, it will get cancelled as always seems to be the way lol.
Now off to watch Downton Abbey for something completely different =)
