First post. Hi all!

Behold my very recently finished Hylian Crest latch hook rug! [scissors for vague scale. It's been so long since I started, and I have nothing to measure it with, that I can't actually remember how big it is. I think it might be 30x24"]

And, given the ironic fate of this craft that makes it look cleaner from the side you don't see, here's the back:

That's 6480 knots, 450 yards of yarn, over a number of hours that I can't really begin calculate 'cause I had to wait so many times to reload after underestimating my yarn needs. *whew!!*

Heck yeah. :tri

Ha! I think I'll combine the irony of those two replies, and point out that I have no idea what I'm going to do to finish it, and was planning on looking around here for some tutorials on what to do with the dang things once they're all hooked. Most of the stuff I've heard to do with them involves a lot of stitching, which I have no idea how to do. Framing sounds intriguing, but how do you fit something so think into a picture frame?

In short, I have no idea, and if anybody else has one, I welcome it!

if you frame it, you wouldn't have to put it behind glass. you could just use the frame without the glass, and let the yarn "hang out" through the front of the frame. might look kind of neat!

I did a latch hook as a kid that has been turned into a pillow. I'll post a pic later...it has to be the lamest latch hook ever though. some dumb design like a cows face or something.

Great news! I had an epiphany. I think I know what I'm going to do, and it's going to be epic and amazing.

But... I don't want to spoil it, or hype it up in case it doesn't work.

I know. Ominous, right? But just you wait... I'm excited out of my mind to make this happen. Can't wait to have it done and show y'all!

Um... carry on, then. How about that pillow, are such things comfortable?

Curiosity peaked.

Nah its pretty worthless as a pillow. I think we just did that because we couldn't think of anything else

With latch hook, do you have to cut the yarn yourself or does it come pre-cut?

I so want to make rugs for my house (whenever I get one ^^).
