Cool Old School Cross Stitched Pillow

Friday, May 23rd, 2014

One of my rules for life is that you can never have too many pillows (or as we call them here in the UK, cushions). Cross stitched ones are the best, because you can find some really great design ideas, like this one!

So many different classic icons, it’s almost like a sampler! I like the part with the Black Mage. :)

Some stitchings by natepopinski

Tuesday, December 31st, 2013

nate says, “I had this weird Idea last week. What if a bunch of Video game characters got together and went out for one CRAZY night?! Now who knows what type of trouble they might get into, but lets just pretend things ended up going off the deep end, even for our favorite video game hero’s. They would end up getting booked and have to get there mugshot’s taken (this is just how my crazy mind works sometimes). So I came up with the idea for this stitch I like to call’ “GAME OVER”"

The next one is a great combo of Space Invaders and Futurama:

And speaking of Futurama…

Keep up the awesome work, natepopinski!

Two Great Projects from funkymonkey

Thursday, May 23rd, 2013

First up is an awesome idea- repurposing a latch hook kit!

funkymonkey says, “This latchhook kit was on sale for $4, so I got it but neglected the pattern it included. I also framed it in a shadow box frame, because making a wall hanging or rug out of it (the recommended uses) seemed like a really good way to destroy it/get it dirty.”

And finally, a framed Bejeweled stitch, with some silver blending filament in the white gems to make them sparkle.
