No_need's Stitching Projects

Post by no_need »

Hi everyone

I started stitching about 5 months ago, but I've only just finished my first project - and now I'd like to share it :nod

This is a bit of a tribute to the webcomic 'Looking for Group' - the artwork I based the pattern on is from a t-shirt here: https://shop.blindferret.com/LFG/produc ... oes-fwoosh and the original quote is here: http://www.lfgcomic.com/page/100.

Because I am utterly insane, this is done on 28 count evenweave using one strand of floss, and it's in a 9x14cm frame. It took me the best part of two months because I couldn't bring myself to sacrifice any detail and so ended up with half stitches even at that high a count. But I think it came out pretty well!

I'm now working on this:

It's currently about 1/4 done. I might post some wips once I've done a bit more. :wiz

Wow!!
I love your tiny stitches! I'm stitching on 28 count right now with a beading needle, and it's intense work!
Did you draw the umbrella pic? I like it. :D

Haha, no, I wish I could draw like that! It's from the TV show Heroes - I think the original artist is Tim Sale (http://heroeswiki.com/Tim_Sale) but I could be wrong. In the show, the sketch is by artist Isaac Mendez: http://heroeswiki.com/Isaac%27s_sketchbooks.

That under the umbrella kiss is very classy. Very beautiful work.

OMG <3 Richard :) Don't suppose you have a pattern of him? Looking for Group is the next webcomic set I plan on buying (when I can afford it )

Thanks :)

Dont worry I've no plans to sell stuff like that :P You should send them a pic of yours or post it to their forum, they would probably be flattered

This is such an awesome piece. :clapping: I love Looking for Group. I got the Lil Richard & Fel Bunny plushies last year. I'm hoping to get Sooba soon. And thank you thank you thank you for sharing the pattern. Don't know what lifetime I'll find time to actually stitch it myself but I can dream.
