Piranha Plant iPhone case

Post by dotcomm »

Finished my Piranha Plant iphone case yesterday! I used purcell_a05's piranha plant pattern with kuja.girl's mario thru the ages for the ground. Very pleased with the way it turned out.

I don't have an iPhone but I'd get one just for this case! Very, very cool!

That is rather good...

I was wondering about getting a case myself, but wasn't sure what to put on it. You guys have really made me think I should...

That looks awesome!!! Is that in plastic canvas? It looks like vinyl aida. :o I wish I could make one for a droid phone that looked that good! ;D

Thanks for the kind words folks.

It's one of these, it's a moulded plastic case with holes in the back to stitch through. It's like slightly floppy plastic canvas.

I ordered both the original neo stitch case, and a cheap silicone replica (£3.50 instead of £20). The cheap one is really poor quality, would definitely recommend getting the more expensive one if your budget can stretch to it (it's also a slightly higher count).

Lord Lib - do it! Bet you'd come up with a brill design. I am really impressed with the Zelda one down the page too.

If you don't have an iphone, somebody previously linked to this blog which has a tutorial for making a case for other phones, this might be useful.

Looks great! I also have an android phone and my only regret is the lack of good accessories :)
If you don't want a hard case I recommend GelaSkins, I just got one and the print job is beautiful. You can upload your own image files so you could get a "sprite" look that way.

That looks all kinds of awesome!

I'd love to get my hands on one of these cases in black so I can replace my partner's iPhone cover which finally broke off his phone not too long ago. But sadly I don't think the Amazon.co.uk site posts to Australia :( could potentially be wrong though.

wow, that's a pretty perfect fit. it's like the iphone was designed to have a case that would be just the right size for a super mario world pipe and piranha plant.
