Hi Stitchers!
I'm hoping someone can help me with an image I found of the hardcover edition of Meredith Ann Pierce's The Darkangel. I searched all over the web to find an image of the cover without the award sticker in the lower right corner and found one on Ebay. The issue is that there are diagonal highlighter yellow stripes over the image. I've tried to remove them and clone in nearby textures, but my GIMP and Paint.net skills are pretty non-existent. Could someone help clean up the image? This book had a profound impact on my 12 year old self and I've read it at least once a year since then. If someone could be uber-awesome would you put the cleaned up image in a KC Stitch chart? 16 or 18 count 11x14 with 40 colors or less would be ideal.
Original image can be found on Ebay. http://tinyurl.com/cj9tjea
Edit: I've been trying to get a pattern made, but all the images I've tried are way too small to convert smoothly. I guess I'll put this project on hold until I can get a copy of the book to scan. Just FYI, they're hard to come by there days.

Another idea would be to check your local library and see if they have that cover and perhaps scan it? Or contact the publisher and ask if they might send you a digital image of it or provide an address to contact the author. (Didn't see an email option on her website)
Sadly I am no good at making patterns myself, but I had to comment on this! I absolutely adore The Darkangel! It was one of the first books I read and loved and have read it over and over since! Seeing the cover just blew my mind and made my night. If someone can make a pattern of this I totally want to stitch it too!

i second that! love this book an re-read it at least once a year!
Chart for those that can print on larger paper. It seems to cut down on the amount of pages, but I'd go cross eyed trying to keep my place even after highlighting right after doing a line.
