Very nice pattern... it's such a big project ! how many colours will you use ?

From what I remember, it's over 100 colours. Alot of the border is single stitches of one colour, then change, but it blends really well. I'm pleased with how the colours are going together, and it's a very wonderful pattern to work from.

Ran out of my second skein of brown/black. Good think I had bought two while at Hobby Lobby.

Quick update on mine, although you can't see the upper part (which is completely stitched). I'm sooo close to finishing, yet I can't because I'm working on a wedding sampler with a tight deadline. It's so frustrating having it next to me all the time and not being able to work on it!

Also, I had a half mind of stitching the triforce in metallic gold. Does anyone think it's a good/bad idea? Suggestions are welcome!

DO IT! I'm sure it'd look lovely. Use the brighter DMC gold though (I forget the number) rather than the antique gold one (the number of which I have also forgotten, lol).
Also, if you do, I recommend using 1 strand and get yourself some Thread Heaven!

I would do it as well, though I'm one to mix my cotton and metallic colours together, instead of using all metallic. Makes it a little easier I think, and you don't chew your fabric to bits from frustration.

Wow this looks great, I especially love the beading. It gives it an even more detailed finish.
I just started a real girly pattern today and may just have to try it as well.
Any tips on the beads? I've never even thought to use them before

Oh, believe me, I use Thread Heaven every time I have to deal with metallic floss! I've just used it to stitch the entire Royal Crest on a Zelda wedding sampler and it was already bad the way it was! (pictures to come soon)

Mine is on 22c, so it's relatively smaller and the stitches really blend together. On the other hand, if you make a mistake it's really hard to undo the stitches. If the mistake is not really huge (just a different shade of the same color, for example), I tend to leave it as it is.

The border was pretty bad, but my least favorite part was the bird's neck. I hate single stitches, too, and that had plenty. I had so much fun stitching Link instead!

I don't know what it is with this particular pattern, but just looking at it makes me happy. It may be the bright colors or maybe the sense of accomplishment, but I'm really glad to have it around. I've been staring at it for months now and I'm still not tired of it. I guess this is what happens when you work on something that you really love!
