"Rawr"

Post by Slipstreamed »

So I found this sprite somewhere on the internet... maybe even here, I can't remember but I thought it was too hilarious to pass up. I touched it up a bit and in hind sight I think the yellow is a bit too bright and I might have found a better font for my rawr, but overall I can't help but laugh.

Now just to decide how to backstitch it and find a good frame!

That is too cute!!
I think the yellow is just fine. It will look a bit brighter on the black anyways!! :)

I think the yellow looks fine as well. Even though I'm not familiar with where the sprite is from, I do know that with fire, the yellow is typically the brightest part. What colour did you use?

And what parts are you planning on backstitching. I noticed you did the teeth, which looks great, but, in my opinion, I think it looks pretty good non-backstitched. :)

This is a lava monster from Super Mario World; he'd look around until you tried to jump over him and he'd spring out. His name is Blargg. http://www.giantbomb.com/blargg/94-5373/

I used 444 Lemon Dk.

And I actually ended up just stitching his back spine/fins and around the eyes and decided to leave the rest alone. I agree it looks better not backstitched.

See that? You got the Rawr seal of approval.

I like this stitching a lot - when I look at it I keep thinking the monsters are gonna pop out of the lava lol. :D

Looking at this makes my heart skip a beat! I hated it so bad when I was tearing it up through a fire level and RAWR! He'd get me. Makes me anxious even now.

Probably! I got motion sickness the first time I played Doom, and I don't even get sick on boats!
