Super Mario World WIP

Post by gratch »

I normally don't post a picture of a project here until I've finished it. But this one is going to take me a while so I thought I'd post periodic pictures of my progress. The quote is from Douglas Adams "The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy". The grey areas are where I've sketched in parts of the pattern with pencil and I just haven't gotten to them yet.

I love the scope of the project. Mario isn't a few feet off the ground...he's a mile high! (Edit: Ok, maybe not a mile, but he's up there) And the ? boxes are mid-action. AND it is a screen shot from the middle of an actual level (I believe). FANTASTIC! I can't wait to see it finished.

BTW, I never would have thought about penciling.

Sure, I've posted the pattern in the other thread. I've been getting some work done on the project to, I should have a new photo to post in a day or two.
