On these particular magnets I didn't do anything to the edges and you can see the plastic. I don't usually do any kind of stitch on the edge of plastic because I just personally like the way it looks. But you can always do a solid black stitch around the whole thing. I also didn't do anything to the backs since I knew they were going to be magnets and you weren't going to see the backs. So I just hot glued a magnet to the floss on the back of the plastic.

Thanks. I thought that's what you had done around them. I was also planning on doing nothing to the back since they're not going to show.

are you using wool or are you using normal cross stitch floss ??
and are the little crosses like cross stitch or are they halfs like tapestry
